‘Revenge’: 5 Reasons Why Emily & Jack Are Still Meant To Be

Jemily fans, including myself, didn't get the reaction we were expecting when Jack professed his love for Emily on the March 8 episode. However, I've come up with 5 key reasons why Jack and Emily are still endgame. It was the moment I'd been waiting four seasons for -- Jack (Nick Weschler) finally came clean about his feelings for Emily (Emily Van Camp) on the March 8 episode of Revenge. Emily didn't exactly reciprocate those feelings for her own messed up reasons, which left my emotions in ruins. Despite this new Jemily roadblock, I have full faith these two will end up together in the end, and here's 5 good reasons why.

‘Revenge’: Jack Loves Emily — 5 Reasons Why They’re Still Endgame

1. It’s been written in the cards since season one.

Emily’s been with Daniel, Aiden and Ben, but her heart always yearned for Jack at some point in those relationships. Emily closed up her heart and allowed Jack to fall in love with faux-Manda, but their intimate connection and kiss when Sammy died pretty much sealed the Jemily deal. Jack and Emily were childhood best friends. There’s been love between them since their early days.

2. Jack’s the only one who can see Emily for who she truly is — Amanda Clarke.

Emily has taken over the role of Emily Thorne quite nicely, but at the end of the day, she’s still Amanda Clarke. Her soul is Amanda Clarke. She buried her true identity to prevent herself from feeling the hurt and trauma over her father’s arrest, apparent murder, etc. When Jack found out that she was really Amanda, he was shocked, but it ultimately didn’t change his feelings for her. Deep down, I think Jack’s always known Emily’s been Amanda.

3. He was able to forgive her for lying to him.

Jack and Emily hit a major rough patch in season three after her found out about her true identity. He was understandably upset over the big fat lie she’d been telling for years, but he was able to forgive her. Not many people could do that.

4. Emily needs a stable guy like Jack.

Emily’s been through the wringer. Both Aiden and Daniel are dead, but they walked on the dark side a lot. Jack is the moral compass of the show, and Emily needs that type of guy in her life.

5. Their chemistry, duh.

Okay, the Jemily scene I still can’t get over is in the season three premiere. Emily tried to come clean about why she lied to him, and these two eventually locked lips. Jack made it seem like he was just teasing her, but you can’t fake that kind of sexual tension. That kiss was so intense. Their feelings had been building up for so long, and it was more than obvious they just wanted to be together regardless of the drama at hand.

Watch that incredible moment here:

I’ve rested my case. Jack told Emily that he wasn’t going to wait around, but I don’t believe him. Emily will come around, and her proclamation will be just as epic as Jack’s was. I just know it.

HollywoodLifers, do you think Emily and Jack are meant to be? When do you think Emily will come around? Let me know!
