Chris is fighting for joint custody of his baby daughter, Royalty. And in an effort to make the potential arrangement become a reality, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that the singer is proving he has the means to take care of her.
Chris Brown, 25, was rolling in money in his music video for “Ayo,” but now he’s just throwing it at his baby mama, Nia Amey, 31, in order to help raise his baby girl, Royalty. The singer’s life has changed in a big way, since discovering he’s a father, but he doesn’t mind. In fact, Chris wants to be a big part of his daughter’s life.
Chris Brown Child Support — He’s Giving Nia Amey A Lot Of Money For Royalty
“Since it’s his baby and he’s doling out a boatload of money to help raise her, Chris wants to have a lot of parental control and he wants 50/50 custody,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Chris has already been throwing money Nia’s way, but he’s also willing to pay whatever it takes — in the case a judge determines he owes a lot more — in order to win joint custody of his baby girl.
“Chris would give Nia $20,000 a month if that’s what she asked for. He doesn’t know how much it costs to raise a child, and since he doesn’t want to be taken advantage, he’s asking the courts to make that decision for him. Again, Chris will go out of his way to make sure his child is properly cared for, but he just wants a number set in stone that he has to pay every month. He wants the consistency and it to be very transparent with Nia,” our source adds.
Chris Brown’s Baby Custody Battle
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, “Everything is being worked out behind the scenes, but Chris wants to be in his baby’s life every step of the way,” our source says.
Apparently, Chris wants to give Royalty a different life than he had — one with a father.
