News of the Apple Watch was first released in September 2014. While you will need an iPhone to work in conjunction to the watch, you will also be able to store and play music over bluetooth headphones even if you don’t have your iPhone on you. What else can it do? You can WATCH the 90-minute presentation right here as the Apple team talks you through all of the cool features of the brand new device — we can’t wait to see all of the possibilities!
Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, discussed the launch during an interview with Charlie Rose. “This small revelation reveals quite a few details on its own. Firstly, the device will indeed come with built-in memory, which will allow users to store content right on their wrist. Secondly, the Apple Watch won’t be a device completely dependent on the iPhone to function. If you’re asking us, this is a big win for those who like to hit the gym without jeopardizing the safety of their smartphone,” he said.
That means if you’re going for a run or heading out without your iPhone you can still enjoy your music — all you need is the watch and a headset and you’re ready to go!
Are you excited about the Apple Watch? If you are, be sure to tune in — we might even hear of new launches so keep your eyes and ears peeled for an announcement regarding the Retina MacBook Air, an unannounced laptop from the brand.
