Chris Johnson, 29, was the victim of a horrifying drive-by shooting in the early morning hours of March 8 in Orlando, Florida, according to police. The NFL running back, who has played for the New York Jets, was shot in the shoulder and is in the hospital. Unfortunately, one of the other passengers in the car died from his injuries.

The drive-by shooting occurred at 4 a.m. on March 8 at an intersection in Orlando, police told ESPN. The former running back for the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans is currently in stable condition after being shot in the shoulder.
Chris and Reggie Johnson, 29, were passengers inside a Jeep when the shooting happened. Reggie suffered gunshot woulds to his shoulder, hand and leg, but is in stable condition. Sadly, the driver of the car, Dreekius Oricko Johnson, 28, succumbed to his injuries.
The victims reported that a vehicle pulled up beside them while they were stationed at a red light and started shooting. When police arrived, Chris and Reggie were on the sidewalk. Police have yet to make an arrest. They are treating this as a homicide investigation.
Chris is set to become a free agent in the NFL on March 10, according to ESPN. He spent one season with the New York Jets in the 2014 season. Before he was with the Jets, Chris played for the Tennessee Titans from 2008 to 2013.
