Now, you would think that out of anybody, Kim Kardashian would not be afraid of any kind of publicity. But the ‘KUWTK’ star was concerned over Bruce Jenner’s gender transition – specifically when Bruce would start wearing women’s clothing in public!
Bruce Jenner, 65, met with his daughters on Jan.19 to discuss his transition to a female, and most of them offered their immediate support. However, Kim Kardashian, 34, was afraid that Bruce’s choice could bring in some unwanted negative attention. Read about the concerns Kim had and how she now feels about what Bruce is going through.
Bruce Jenner Transition: Kim Kardashian Feared Negative Attention
When Bruce told the Kardashian sisters about his change, Kim was worried that Bruce’s future public appearances–especially when he starts presenting more like a woman–would draw a lot of negative attention, according to a new report appearing in US Weekly. Kim is no stranger to publicity, both good and bad, so we think she knows how to handle it. So it’s doesn’t surprise us that these concerns weren’t really about her, but more about her other sisters–specifically, younger sister Kendall Jenner, 19.
“Kim had been thinking, ‘what if Kendall has an event and Bruce shows up in a dress? Won’t that steal all her attention?” the source tells US Weekly.
But sources also reported that Kanye West, 37, had a talk with Kim and calmed her fears over Bruce’s transition. Now, Kim “is now genuinely happy for Bruce. Kanye said she should support her parents.”
Bruce Jenner’s Daughters React To Announcement
It seems that Kim has joined her sisters in supporting Bruce through the transitioning process. Kendall was incredibly positive at the news, telling Bruce to “be you.” Kylie Kardashian, 17, joined in with her big sister, wanting nothing but their father to be happy. Even Khloe Kardashian, 30, who Bruce helped raise since she was 6, was supportive when he finally broke the news of his decision.
Do you think Bruce’s transition would take away any attention from the Kardashians, Hollywood Lifers? We think that this family know how to handle themselves, but what do you think?
