The drama on ‘Fashion Police’ is not over. Just one week after Giuliana Rancic made some very controversial comments about Zendaya, a new report reveals that the tension between the two stylish stars began after Joan Rivers ‘took a liking’ to the Disney darling!
Although Giuliana Rancic publicly apologized to Zendaya after saying that her dreadlocks at the Academy Awards looked like they smelled like “patchouli or weed,” a new report claims that their feud runs deep, and actually stems from when the “Replay” singer “auditioned for Giuliana’s position” on Fashion Police!
Zendaya’s ‘Fashion Police’ Audition: The Reason Behind Giuliana Rancic’s Diss?
So crazy! It doesn’t look like Giuliana and Zendaya will be fully burying the hatchet anytime soon.“Zendaya previously auditioned for Fashion Police to replace Giuliana,” Radar reports as the reason behind the feud that actually caused Giuliana’s co-star Kelly Osbourne to quit!
“Zendaya had been a guest on the show several times and Joan really took a liking to her, so they brought her in to audition,” a source told the publication. Continuing on that Zendaya, “auditioned for Giuliana’s position because Giuliana was unsure if she wanted to return to the show after Joan had passed away.”
That’s not all! “Giuliana knew that Zendaya had been up for the role,” the source continued. “It definitely seems like she had this in mind when she made the comments towards Zendaya.”
Kelly was extremely upset about Giuliana’s remarks and had taken to her Twitter to say that everyone involved needed to apologize within 24 hours. As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, even though Giuliana did apologize during E News, Kelly still quit the show.
E! released a statement on Feb. 27, announcing Kelly’s departure just four days after the comments about her good friend Zendaya were made.
Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s “Fashion Police” to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers. “Fashion Police” will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Zendaya join Fashion Police? Who do you think should replace Kelly? Let us know your thoughts below!
