You spoke, and Katy Perry listened. Want to commemorate your love for the Left Shark but aren’t brave enough to get inked? Well, now you can SHOP your very own left shark onesie.
Move over, cats — sharks are really having a moment…and the leader of the pack is the 2015 Super Bowl MVP, Left Shark. You know it was never about who actually won the big game, all that really mattered was Left Shark — and now, a little over a month after he made his uncoordinated debut during Katy Perry‘s halftime show, he’s back in the spotlight, thanks to the songstress herself — and just when you were ready to stock up on a llama suit or even invest in #TheDress. Katy took to Twitter to announce the arrival of her costume game-changer — the “Katy Perry Left Shark Belovesie.” (Halloween’s a mere seven months away, people).
Left Shark Onesie — Costume From The Super Bowl For Sale, Thanks To Katy Perry:
Oh, did you think the Left Shark was so over? Well, clearly you’re wrong — and Katy is determined to make
fetch Left Shark happen, over and over again. The “Belovesie,” (the more endearing version of the onesie, obvs), is inspired by the dancing Super Bowl sensation, made of 100% polyester and will set you back $129.99, (disclaimer: offbeat dance moves and shirtless male not included). It is currently available for pre-order, so you can expect to receive your very own Left Shark in 6-8 weeks from the time you place your order.
If you really loved Left Shark but don’t think he’s worth $130, don’t dive off the deep end just yet — you’re in luck. Katy also dreamed up the more budget-friendly Left Shark tee, which will cost you $25.
While I’m actually a major enthusiast of the aquatic predators, (especially when they seem to seep into pop culture), I’m definitely feeling Left Shark Fatigue — and, on that note, #NeverForget Right Shark. While everyone is busy perfecting their Left Shark look, poor Right Shark is silently sulking somewhere, cursing himself for sticking to the choreography — but don’t worry, Right Shark…you could always call Meredith Grey for some support. (After all, Taylor did drop her once the fame thirsty Olivia Benson moved in).
Would you splurge on the shark onesie?
