The new season of ‘Teen Mom’ hasn’t even started yet, and already there’s drama galore! The young moms are up in arms over the controversial return of co-star Farrah Abraham. This is going to be a very entertaining season!
With the brand new season of Teen Mom just around the corner, cast members Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell are opening up about the elephant in the room — the return of their fourth co-star, Farrah Abraham. And they have A LOT to say!
‘Teen Mom’ Stars React To Farrah Abraham’s Return
Farrah’s big return to the show is not sitting well with the other moms, Maci, Amber and Catelynn. The three girls opened up in a new interview with E! News, and explained just how difficult it is to try and parent their children alongside Farrah.
Maci took the lead and had a lot to say to the outlet. “I can’t really comment on my leaving the show,” she told E! News. “As far as the way I felt when she was returning, it’s not about Farrah. I don’t hold a grudge against her, I’m not mad at her, I don’t judge her—nothing like that.”
She went on to say, “But there’s also a fine line with what I find appropriate and I just don’t think it’s appropriate for my 6-year-old son to be involved with some of the things that Farrah is involved with. So, you know, if we’re watching one scene and he’s in the front yard throwing baseball and then five seconds later they’re at a strip club, to me, that’s just not appropriate.”
Of course Maci has every right to worry about her child’s wellbeing.
She continued to say, “And you know, the shows going to air on Mondays and that’s going to be happening and then he has to wake up and go to school the next day with six and seven year olds in Kindergarten that just watched all of that happen. So it’s difficult for me because I feel like my ability to make the right choices as a parent was kind of taken away from me when they decided to bring her back.” Wow, Maci is one unhappy mommy.
Catelynn Is Worried They Are Promoting The Sex Industry
Catelynn also weighed in on her co-stars return. “At first, for a little bit, we were kind of OK with it. Until we really sat down about it and were like ‘Um, we don’t know how good this is for the moral compass of the show?’ Like, we are trying to educate girls about good things, not so much the sex industry part.” We completely understand where she’s coming from.
Amber was a little less angry about Farrah’s return. “It’s just shocking sometimes, to me, when I knew Farrah…she would never do something like that, and when I found out she did, I was in prison. I can’t really judge much on anything.”
We will get to see more soon enough when Teen Mom returns to MTV on March 23.
