Shonda Rhimes’ new hit series delivered a jaw-dropping season finale on Feb. 26. So where do the Keating Five and Annalise go from here? We’ve got the scoop!
Who else is still recovering from How To Get Away With Murder’s season finale? Everyone? OK, just checking. From Lila Stangard’s killer to another shocking death, so much happened. Season two is already on our minds, and we’ve got some spoilers to hold you over until that time comes around. WARNING: Spoilers ahead!
‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 2 Spoilers: Frank’s Secret & More
So let’s start with shocker No. 1 of the night: Frank (Charlie Weber) killed Lila. Yeah, we’re still not over that fact. Will the Keating Five — especially Laurel (Karla Souza) — find out that nasty truth?
“There’s a way that they can find out the truth—in fact, someone’s still living that knows the truth,” series creator Pete Nowalk told Entertainment Weekly. “That will be the fun mystery for next season is if they’re going to figure that out and how that then affects them.”
Frank killed Lila on direct orders from Sam (Tom Verica), and Frank must have been at Sam’s will for a pretty big reason for Frank to betray Annalise like that. But don’t think that Frank’s secret will stay hidden forever. “That is a very big favor, and we would be mistaken not to answer that question for the audience,” Pete continued.
Heading on over to even crazier territory, Rebecca (Katie Findlay) was killed on last night’s finale, sparking a whole new whoddunit mystery. Even though Wes (Alfred Enoch) and Rebecca were in love, Pete teases that Wes could very well be the one who ended her life.
‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Spoilers: Connor & Oliver Heartbreak
Any Shondaland show has the ability to make you ugly cry at any point in the episode. So when we learned that Oliver was HIV positive, we cried all the tears. Connor (Jack Falahee) and Oliver have been through so many ups and downs, so where does their relationship go from here:
“How it affects the relationship is going to be twisty and turny and hard,” Pete told EW. “Whether they stay together or not, they’re really bonded, and Connor feels very grateful for how much Oliver’s helped him—even though Oliver doesn’t know it—through the post-murder stuff. Connor has a good heart and wants Oliver to be okay. Just watching him feel that distraught and scared at the end with the news that he’s positive, Connor needs to figure out what his role is in the relationship now.”
