Lupita Nyong’o, like us, is obsessed with ‘Orange Is The New Black.’ Does that mean we’ll be seeing her on the Netflix series in the near future? According to star Taryn Manning, it’s a strong possibility!
Lupita Nyong’o gushed over the cast of Orange Is The New Black while attending Essence magazine’s annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards earlier this month. Clearly, she’s a big fan of the show. But this just makes us wonder if she’ll be guest starring on the Netflix series sometime soon. After all, she is one of the most sough after actresses in Hollywood right now. The online streaming service would be nuts not to cast her in a role! Well, Taryn Manning, who plays Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett on the hit show, teased the idea, saying “you never know who’s coming into jail!”
Lupita Nyong’o On ‘Orange Is The New Black’: Taryn Manning Says She May Guest Star
When asked whether she’d want Lupita to guest star on the series, the 36-year-old actress told E! News, “Of course! That’s the great thing about this show, I feel that any guest star can work because it’s jail. And everyday people go in and they go out—that’s what makes this show exciting is that you never know who’s coming into jail!”
She makes a good point! So what role would Lupita play? Taryn has a pretty cool vision. If it were up to her, Lupita would make a grand entrance into the prison in one of her red carpet gowns.
“I would love to see her…if she wore one of her epic gowns as well,” she said. “I think she’s one of the best dressed.”
That’s so sweet — and we agree! Plus, there’s totally room for Lupita now that Jason Biggs won’t be returning for season three.
