It’s the question that started it all: Who killed Lila Stangard? With the finale of ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ upon us, fans are dying to know whether we will find out once and for all how the sorority girl ended up in that water tower!
Before Wes (Alfred Enoch) ever put that trophy to the back of Sam’s (Tom Verica) head, before Rebecca (Katie Findlay) and her nosering lied her first lie, and before Analise (Viola Davis) caused any of the Keating five to wet themselves out of fear on How to Get Away with Murder, someone killed Lila. Fans have waited all season to learn who is truly responsible for the virgin-turned definite non-virgin’s death, so on the Feb. 26 episode, will we finally find out?
‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Finale
Since the beginning of How to Get Away with Murder, it’s felt like whenever one question was answered, five more were created.
However, audiences can rest assured: when the first season of the abc drama wraps on Feb. 26, it will be revealed who actually killed Lila. Executive producer Pete Norwalk has ensured that the whole truth will be revealed in the finale. “We are going to show the audience in flashback exactly what happened on Lila’s murder night,” Pete told E! News. “We’re going to see who killed her and we’re going to watch that happen along with everything leading up to it. You’ll get a lot of answers.”
Better yet, Pete said that the finale is so shocking, he doesn’t believe any audience member out there has correctly predicted it. “I will be extremely impressed if someone guessed the entire story correctly,” he said.
Ah, we cannot wait to watch this already!
The Truth About Rebecca
As fans of the creepy drama know, at the end of the episode on Feb. 19, everything we thought we knew about Rebecca had been thrown into question. When Wes and Laurel (Karla Souza) took a secret trip to the institution where the former owner of Wes’s apartment had been checked in, the patient only had one word to say when Wes showed him Rebecca’s photo: Wet.
From that single word, a whole mess of questions arises. If “wet” is what comes to mind at the sight of Rebecca, we can only believe she has something to do with the water tower (which, as you know, is also wet) in which Lila was found dead.
Of course, this theory was only made more concrete by the next scene, in which we saw that Rebecca had tracked Wes’s phone and saw that he had gone to the mental institution.
I never trusted you, Rebecca!
