Um, rude! 50 Cent recently trashed not one, but two of our favorite TV shows and, frankly, we’re not too happy about it. Check out the insulting remarks.
Watch your mouth, 50, or we’ll stick Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) on you! Rapper 50 Cent has just likened Fox’s long running musical series Glee to its newcomer musical, Empire and, well, the comparisons are not exactly flattering. Don’t be jealous, 50!
50 Cent Disses ‘Empire’
Perhaps he’s just bitter since his own musical series, Power, isn’t half as popular as either of these shows.
Recently, 50 Cent made a few statements about Empire, and it’s clear that he’s not the smash hit series’ biggest fan. “It’s like Glee with a little hip-hop music in it,” he told MTV. Right, but coming from 50, that was definitely intended to be an insult.
50’s bad feelings about the new musical drama, which along with Taraji also stars Terrence Howard, could be due to the similarities it shares with his own drama, Power.
Does 50 Have A Crush On Taraji?
When discussing where Empire is lacking, 50 said the series should take notes from the show on which he stars. “I feel like the story line is moving extremely fast,” he said. “My character didn’t show up till episode four in Power because I was in jail for a long period of time. Taraji came home on the first episode after 17 years…what happened to the rest of the story?”
Okay, so 50 has some issues with Taraji’s backstory on Empire. But Taraji in real life, well, that’s a very different story.
“Taraji, you fine motherf–er, I’m happy to date you one day,” 50 said. “How you know this ain’t the love connection connection we been waiting for girl? You know I say things I don’t mean.”
Not gonna lie, even though we’re kinda bitter about 50’s Glee/Empire diss, we could still totally get behind he and Taraji as a couple!
What do you think about what 50 had to say?
