Felicity Jones has rocked the red carpet this season and her look at the 2015 Oscars was no exception! We loved her dramatic, dark eyes and think that this may have been one of her best looks ever!
Felicity Jones, 31, always makes an impression on the red carpet so we weren’t exactly surprised when she showed up to the red carpet of the Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Calif. on Feb. 22 looking amazing. The Best Actress nominee looked beautiful — we absolutely loved her eye makeup. Get the exact details of her look below.
Felicity Jones At Academy Awards — Bold Oscars Eye
Like we said, Felicity has had some out-of-this-world looks this awards season (that pink Balenciaga dress at the SAG Awards, anybody?) but this may be her boldest yet. Felicity rocked a dark, dramatic eye that we absolutely cannot wait to try on ourselves. Her hair was in an elegant updo that was off-set by her somewhat choppy bangs.
Here’s how to copy her exact makeup look with instructions from her makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani:
“Felicity is wearing a one of a kind, custom made Alexander McQueen dress, Victorian-inspired. The embroidery is made out of pearls to mirror the look of armor so it was important for Felicity to remain very feminine. We wanted to bring a little sexiness to her makeup by concentrating on her eyes.
I decided to give her a lighter, fresher version of a smoky eye by concentrating only on the outer corner of her eye. I first used a backstage eye primer and dusted Diorshow Mono in nude all over her lid. I lined her eyes with the new black Diorshow Khol. To complement the beautiful dove grey of the dress I chose Diorshow Fusion Mono in Hypnotique (purple/violet shade).
I went over the black line with it to blend the edges of the pencil and blended it outward, leaving the center of her eye nude. I curled her lashes and apply Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum before applying two coats of Diorshow Mascara.”
Felicity Jones’ Hair At The Oscars
Felicity’s hair was styled by Tommy Buckett.
He prepped her wet hair with Garnier Fructis Brazilian Smooth Flatiron Express ($5.99) before blow-drying, then flat-ironed.
Then, he added lots of texture with the Garnier Fructis De-Constructed Texture Tease ($4.29) and the Garnier Disorder Power Wax Spray ($5.99) before pulling her hair into a ponytail, which he secured high on her head.
He used Texture Tease Spray on the ends of her ponytail and then folded her hair into a bun. He secured it with bobby pins.
He used Garnier Fructis Full & Plush Root Amp Root Lifting Spray Mousse ($4.29) to smooth her hairline. For a finishing touch, he used Texture Tease on her bangs and then misted hair with Garnier Full Control Anti- Humidity Aerosol Hair Spray ($4.29) to set.
