Mae Whitman & Bella Thorne In ‘Frozen’ Spoof: ‘Duff’ Stars As Princesses
Mae and Bellas’ comedic timing is crystal clear in this Funny Or Die clip as they reenact a scene from Frozen:
Evidently, tensions between Bella’s queen bee character, Madison, and Mae’s role as Bianca, The DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend), even run high in Arendelle!
Their live-action adaptation made us giggle, especially when Anna continues to refer to Snow Queen Elsa as “Salsa”.
‘The DUFF’: Mae Whitman Is A Real-Life Bianca
As we previously reported, The DUFF will surely become a cult classic for teens! The story, which is based on the teen novel by Kody Keplinge, reminds us of Mean Girls meets She’s All That.
There are no shortage of one-liners from the stellar casts! Specifically, we have a hunch that Parenthood‘s Mae will become a major star on the silver screen after her breakout role.
“I brought so much of myself to the character,” Mae told HollywoodLife.com. “It was amazing. This movie is about the struggle that people that are beautiful all over the place are made to feel like they should be put into some weird box by other people who are just insecure and threatened by them, and they just try and tear you down. I have been put in that box so many times. All different boxes, been called all kinds of names in my life. You just have to let that go. None of that is real.”
Indeed, in the words of a modern-day Elsa,”Let It Go”!
