Nicki Minaj Tour Manager Stabbed To Death In Philly
This is truly sad news.
“Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour,” Nicki shared with her fans and followers on Twitter on Feb. 18.
Sadly, it appears the incident occurred when a fight broke out inside Che Bar & Grill, reports. NBC.
The report claims that fight may have involved a recently fired employee of the bar, and that when the altercation made it’s way onto the street outside of the bar is when the fatal stabbing went down.
HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Nicki’s reps for comment on this horrific tragedy.
Nicki shared that both De’Von and Eric were preparing for tour, which is set to begin in March 2015. Until then, Nicki has a show planned in Charlotte, N.C. with her rumored boyfriend, Meek Mill — who, coincidentally, is from Philadelphia.
De’Von was just 29 years old when he died from his fatal puncture wounds. His friend and fellow Nicki teammate, Eric, was just 27.
Unfortunately the identity of the man who allegedly committed the stabbing is still unknown — although police have a lead on what kind of car the male used as a getaway car.
Our thoughts go out to Nicki and her team, as well as De’Von and Eric’s friends and family during this very difficult time.
