The designer sent an intricate collection down the runway that was a little darker and a little edgier — and the result was a stunning collection that will look just as amazing on the red carpet, (and on Kate, of course).
When it comes to crafting gorgeous, feminine looks, designer Jenny Packham knows exactly what she’s doing — and her Fall 2015 collection took us on a whole new journey as she played with rich textures. Sumptuous fabrics and feminine silhouettes made their way down the runway during New York Fashion Week on Feb. 17 as the textured pieces blended together to create a cool, covetable collection that was fit for the red carpet.
Jenny Packham’s Fall 2015 Collection:
The designer was inspired by a visit to the Prado Museum in Madrid, where the images of society women painted by nineteenth century artist Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta particularly caught her eye. From sequins to feathers and velvet, the way the designer played with the luxe materials really set the looks apart — and it took the collection in a whole new direction that we previously hadn’t seen from Packham. The show opened with a jacket made entirely of paillettes that swished as it came down the runway. A-line skirts using the same technique were paired with breezy embellished blouses that possessed such an effortlessly glam vibe.
The vibrant color palette consisted of emerald greens and dark blues, while hints of orange and red burst onto the runway. The silhouettes were tailored to perfection and looked fantastic on the models — and it is her ability to craft glam looks women feel great in that really sets her work apart.
Her vision was all in the details, as the embellished pieces were on a whole new level. From intricately placed crystals and pearls to oversized paillettes, the looks made a dramatic entrance all on their own — and it is only a matter of time before the designer’s devout celeb fans stand out in the creations on the red carpet.
Jenny Packham has become a household name thanks to the famous faces that can’t get enough of her line — and we think they’ll be clamoring to wear the latest collection! From the midi skirts to the slinky gowns, we can totally see Taylor Swift, Kate Hudson, Vanessa Hudgens and Charlize Theron in the designs. Sure, the Duchess of Cambridge can’t get enough of her line, (and she would look amazing in the formal frocks!), but the dresses in this collection weren’t strictly fit for a Duchess!
