In its first three episodes, ‘Better Call Saul’ has definitely been forging its own path from ‘Breaking Bad,’ the series from which it’s spun off. Still, is there a chance that we’ll see any of our favorite BB characters on ‘Saul’? We’ve got EXCLUSIVE scoop!
File this under “yes please!” In an EXCLUSIVE interview with HollywoodLife.com, Michael Mando (who plays big bad baddy Nacho on Better Call Saul), revealed to us the ways we’ll continue to see Nacho cause trouble for Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) throughout the season. Plus, he even told us whether it’s possible we’ll get any Breaking Bad cameos!
‘Breaking Bad’ Cameos On ‘Better Call Saul?’
At this point, who isn’t a fan of Breaking Bad?
Well, the actors on Better Call Saul certainly are! In fact, when we chatted with Michael, he revealed to us just how much he’d like to see some crossover between the two shows.
“I am a huge fan of Breaking Bad,” Michael said. “I have so much respect for those wonderful actors and, as a fan, I secretly hope that [series creators] Vince [Gilligan] and Peter [Gould] will bring as many of them back as possible.”
Um, same here Michael! Same here.
Nacho Present & Nacho Future
Speaking of Breaking Bad, fans of that series know that Nacho never shows up in any of those episodes (which, of course, are set after the events of Saul). So what does this mean for Nacho’s future?
“I can tell you that there are a lot of possibilities in terms of what Nacho’s future is,” said Michael. “This is a very ambitious guy, a very intelligent guy, a very dangerous guy, and he’s playing a very patient game and six or seven years down the road, we don’t see him and we don’t know why.”
So we don’t know too much about Nacho’s future, but what about Nacho’s present?
“Nacho in unsatisfied with the way business is being run,” Michael said. “What we can gather is that he doesn’t come from a blood line that is very connected the way that Tuco (Raymond Cruz) does, and he has to pursue his own ambitions by himself. He really has to deduce what is going on because a lot of information is missing.”
You could definitely say that again.
What do you guys think of Better Call Saul so far? Would you want to see some Breaking Bad cameos?
