Tracy Morgan, 46, wasn’t able to make it to Studio 8H for the Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special, but that doesn’t mean he was forgotten. Tina Fey, 44, and Alec Baldwin, 56, took to the stage to honor their friend and wished he was “well enough” to be there. The comedian continues to recuperate after a June 2014 car crash left him with a brain injury.

“I wish my friend Tracy Morgan was here tonight,” Tina said in the middle of the show. “I know he was hoping he would be well enough to be here too.
To bring some light into the situation, Alec tried his best Tracy impression, which brought on all the laughs. Tina continued, “If he were here tonight I am sure Tracy would remind us that more than anything, he would like to get us all pregnant. See you at the 41st, Tracy. We love you.”

The car crash that left Tracy with a brain injury also killed his friend, James McNair. The accident occurred in New Jersey when a Wal-Mart truck crashed into Tracy’s vehicle.
We had high expectations for the SNL 40th anniversary, but the show blew us out of the water. We were treated to one amazing trip down memory lane and epic new moments!
