The booming rock music wasn’t the only thing inspired by the ’70s at the Jill Stuart Fall 2015 runway show. From the pretty metallic mini dresses to sheer maxis and furs,it was like a chic blast from the past.
Jill Stuart‘s Fall/Winter 2015 collection is totally different from anything you’ve ever seen from her before. The plunging mini dresses are something that Sarah Hyland would totally go for, and the long sleeved, high-neckline frocks would look great on Taylor Swift! Jill Stuart Fall 2015 Collection — Fashion Week Runway PICS:
Jill Stuart totally outdid herself with this one. There were so many different types of fabrics and patterns that we can’t even keep track! Sheer, long maxi dresses reminded us of ’70s glamour, while super short minis were evoked disco moments.
The styles of the dresses weren’t the only throwbacks on the runway…the material was as well. Brace yourself, because vinyl is back. Shiny, vibrant colored vinyl pants went down the runway paired with vinyl jackets and solid tops.
Suede, leather, and fur were also reoccurring themes during the show, and we absolutely love the the large range of outerwear that was included.
Finally, we can’t forget the metallics! From A-line mini dresses to traditional frocks, you can be sure to see plenty of sparkles in your fashion future.
Jill Stuart is known for her flattering feminine looks, so you can be sure that there were some celebrity front row faces! Girls star Zosia Mamet was in attendance, and she looked so cute wearing a look from Jill Stuart’s Spring 2015 collection.
