Ross Lynch & Laura Marano: Interview Reveals Relationship Status
While Ross and Laura are extremely close, they’re not making it anything more than a friendship — for now.
“I think it’s a very much because we are very professional,” Laura, 19, told HollywoodLife.com. “I know for me — I’ve been acting since I was 5 — I’ve always been taught that you really should never date a costar while you’re working with someone, because then you can get together then not get together. Can you imagine?”

She also told us that it’s not just her who feels this way — the whole cast pretty much made a pact!
“Ross and I — and everyone on the show — we all agreed on. You really don’t date costars when you work with them,” she said.
Alright, so basically we can just hope that when the show ends (in like, 15 years) they will end up dating.
Laura Likes Raura Shippers
Laura has told us before that even though they’re not together, she does love the fans who ship them as a couple.
“I think is super sweet,” Laura admitted. “Ross and I have talked about this too. I think fans of other things as well, like Titanic and The Notebook, when you see two characters together and you think they’re really cute together, obviously you want them to date in real life. I love that they love Austin and Ally so much that they see it in real life as well!”
