Tyga and Kylie Jenner aren’t the only celebs Drake raps about on his surprise new mixtape! It also seems like he references Rihanna in ‘You & The 6,’ telling his mom that he and the ‘Stay’ singer are ‘always’ getting back together. Is he hoping they reunite again? Listen to the track here!
Drake dropped a new mixtape, titled “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,” on Feb. 13 and some of the lyrics are very telling. For instance, on “You & The 6,” the rapper seems to be saying that his on-again/off-again relationship with Rihanna is never-ending. Does this mean they’re endgame?
Drake’s ‘You & The 6’ — Rihanna Relationship Addressed On Mixtape Track
During one part of the track, Drake raps about having conversations with his mama and talking about the Google alerts she gets about his love life.
He raps: “She said ‘I heard you back with you know who’/ I told her ‘Girl I’m always back with you know who.'”
The Canadian rapper seems to be referencing his on-again/off-again relationship with Rihanna, according to Rap Genius.
On Aug. 4, 2014, Drake also performed during a concert in Toronto, where Rihanna’s face flashed on a screen with burning 6’s. This seems to be another clue as to why “You & The 6” is about Rihanna.
Anyway, based on the lyrics, it seems like Drake is trying to say that no matter what, he and Rihanna are always getting back together. Does this mean he expect them to be together again sometime soon?
Perhaps he knows that no matter what happens, they’re endgame.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Drake wants to get back together with Rihanna? Tell us how you feel!
