‘Vampire Diaries’: Goodbye Jeremy Gilbert
It’s a tough job but someone has to do it. Here’s Jeremy’s ten greatest moments during his time on The Vampire Diaries — in no specific order, because they’re just impossible to rank.
Jeremy sees his exes, Vicki & Anna (Season 2 finale / May 12, 2011)
Jeremy & Bonnie’s first kiss (Season 2, Episode 14 / February 10, 2011)
“You’re Elena’s little brother. I’ve known you forever. You’re that punk kid. And remember your awkward phase, and then your emo phase; your druggie phase. And overnight you’ve turned into this hot guy who’s really sweet and…” Bonnie then gets cut off by Jeremy asking, “You think I’m hot?”
Steven recently told our sister site, TVLine.com that that kiss actually wasn’t in the script! “I talked to Kat [Graham] before we shot the scene, and I was like, ‘You know what? This would be a really cool moment just to kiss you.’ And she was like, ‘All right, let’s try it! Should we tell the writers?’ And I was like, ‘No, they’re going to tell us not to. Let’s just do it.’ So we ended up doing it, and they liked it, so they kept it. It was a cool moment as an actor to take a risk and have it pay off like that.”

Jeremy finally confesses that Bonnie is dead and while Damon yells at him for saying it, he then hugs him and it’s an OMG cute moment.
Sheriff Forbes accidentally shoots Jeremy (Season 2 finale / May 12, 2011)
Luckily, Bonnie tells the witches she loves him and gets them to bring him back to life.
Jeremy becomes the hulk (Season 4, Episode 12 / January 31, 2013)
Jeremy officially became a hunter in season four and to show his marks, he ripped his shirt off, all hulk style. Thank you.
Silas kills Jeremy (Season 4, Episode 14 / February 14, 2013)
This had to be one of Jeremy’s most insane and surprising deaths. Also, a very sad Valentine’s Day!
Bonnie and Jeremy have sex (Season 5, Episode 8 / November 21, 2013)

Basically, the moral of this post is that I’m not sure what we’re going to do without Jeremy around. However, we’ll have to see what happens because he’ll be back eventually, for weddings or funerals. But does Mystic Falls even really have funerals?
