In the new trailer for ‘Trainwreck,’ we see just how far one woman will go to avoid monogamy and, spoiler alert, there’s some light vomiting.
You know what they say about train wrecks: it’s impossible to look away, and that’s definitely true of the new film of the same name. In the just released trailer for Trainwreck, written by and starring Amy Schumer, Amy’s character (also named Amy, what else?) vigilantly opposes monogamy. Therefore, when a handsome doctor (SNL‘s Bill Hader) comes into her life and actually wants to see her more than once, she is both shocked and terrified. If that all isn’t enough to interest you, the film is also directed by living comedy legend Judd Apatow. Watch the hilarious peak now!
“Monogamy isn’t realistic.”
This is the mantra that Amy’s father instilled within her as a child and by which she very much lives in her adult life.
Swinging from one night stand to one night stand, Amy has made it a clearcut objection in her life not to get attached, so much so that when someone she’s just slept with asks her on a date for a few nights later, she’s pretty much disgusted.
“I can’t do that because, like, you and I won’t ever see each other again.”
Amy Schumer Does What She Wants
“I’m just a modern chick who does she wants,” Amy says, strutting the streets of Manhattan. And then a beat: “Last week, it was this guy.”
Along with Amy, the film also stars current Saturday Night Live cast member Vanessa Bayer, playing Amy’s best friend who is equally horrified at the prospect of Bill wanting to see Amy again.
“Why would he call? You guys just had sex,” Vanessa says, panicked. “Hang up, he’s obviously sick or something– I’m gonna call the police.”
Are you guys excited for Trainwreck?
