Here he goes again! Kanye West is slamming The Grammys, AGAIN — this time vowing never to return unless something is done about the voting process!
Kanye West, 36, said that he “will not go” back to The Grammys during his morning radio interview with Ryan Seacrest on Feb. 11. He expressed his desire to sit down with music major executives to persuade them into changing the way winners are chosen. Find out why Kanye is SO passionate about the situation!
Kanye West Grammys Diss — Rapper Says He Will Not Return Until Voting Process Is Fixed
Ryan asked Kanye if he would attend The Grammys if he were to be nominated again and he answered, “I will not go until I sit with Neil [Portnow] and sit with Jimmy Jam and until they fix the voting system. They’re like a broke clock. They’re right only like twice a day.”
Neil Portnow is the Recording Academy President/CEO and Jimmy Jam is the Recording Academy Chair Emeritus and Kanye basically vowed not to return to The Grammys until he talks to them — that’s how much it upset him to see Beyonce lose Album Of The Year to Beck!
During the award show on Feb. 8, Kanye jokingly ran on stage to interrupt Beck’s acceptance speech. Although it was all laughs at that moment, Kanye was actually upset about the situation and expressed his feelings afterwards on E! by saying, “If they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain’t going to play with them no more.”
We are a little taken aback by how strongly Kanye feels about The Grammys’ voting process. He said a lot of shocking things during his interview with Ryan, another one being that he will record music with Taylor Swift!
“Yeah, she wants to get in the studio and we’re definitely going to go in. Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work. I don’t discriminate,” he told Ryan.
