Time to whip out those glass slippers! A second trailer for Disney’s live-action ‘Cinderella’ has just been released, and it’s guaranteed to add a little magic to your day.
With its Mar. 13 release date just around the corner, the excitement for Disney’s reimagined Cinderella is definitely building. To get fans ready for the film, a new extended trailer has just been released and in it, we see Cindy (Lily James) continue to dream and– yup– continue to fall under the spell of that ridiculously gorgeous Prince Charming (Richard Madden).
“Just because it’s what’s done doesn’t mean it’s what should be done,” Cinderella says to Charming in this new trailer for the live-action fairy tale.
“You’re right,” he responds.
Leave it to poor peasant, Cinderella, to school Charming in lessons of morality.
Following their brief discussion of ethics, the prince with everything can’t stop thinking about the would-be princess with nothing. However, as we know, the two cannot just be together.
“A prince is not free to follow his heart,” Charming is reprimanded. “He must marry for the good of the kingdom.” Huh, why do I have a feeling that won’t remain true? Have you guys heard this story before?
‘This Is What You Will Always Be’
Rounding out the cast of this reinvented classic are Helena Bonham Carter stepping into the role of Fairy Godmother which, frankly, she was born to play, and Cate Blanchett as the horrendous stepmother.
“Ragged servant girl is what you are and that is what you will always be,” the stepmother says to Cinderella, reminding us why she gave us nightmares as children. Though we’re older now, judging by this trailer, the magic might still be felt when this classic comes to life again.
Are you guys excited for the new Cinderella?
