John Legend On Kanye West’s Grammy Awards Diss — ‘It Was Funny’
Kanye definitely knows how to get people to talk. Following his stunt at the Grammy Awards his good friend John Legend decided to speak up in his defense and revealed how he thinks people should take the stunt.
“I thought it was funny. I looked at it as just a funny thing that people were going to talk about,” John told Us Weekly. “It didn’t hurt anybody.Anybody who’s upset just needs to relax. It was funny.”
The singer then revealed that he thinks that Beck deserved the nights top honor. “Beck won his award fair and square. Beck is super talented and I have several of his albums and I’ve listened to him for a long time,” John told the publication. “I think people were surprised that he won but that doesn’t mean he’s not deserving, that just means people thought other people were going to win too.”
That’s not all! John also dished on Kanye and Kim Kardashian‘s relationship, saying that they are a great match. “They love each other and they complement each other well. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. It matters how you and your partner are in your relationship and if you build each other up and make each other feel good,” he dished. “If you have kids, if you’re good parents for your kids. So as long as they’re doing that then they’ll be fine.”
In the lengthy note she said, “You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK. You make yourself look small and petty and stupid.”
