If there’s one person to rock the 2015 Grammys, it’s Sam Smith! The newcomer stole America’s heart with ‘Stay With Me’, and now he’s won the Grammy for Song of the Year! We couldn’t be happier about another big win for Sam after such an incredible year.
It’s been a remarkable night for Sam Smith, 22, at The Grammy Awards! Sam’s music career just keeps getting hotter and hotter!
Sam Smith Wins Grammy For Song Of The Year — Another Big Win For Sam
Sam may have based his debut album, In The Lonely Hour, about feeling empty, but he felt neither lonely or empty while accepting four Grammy Awards, and couldn’t help but share his excitement!
While taking the stage to accept his third award of the night, Sam admitted he was having a “really really good night.” We’re so proud of him!
“Stay With Me” was Sam’s breakout song into the music industry, and quickly became an instant hit. It topped the charts in the UK, where Sam is from, along with in the U.S., New Zealand and Canada. The soulful song showcases Sam’s amazing diva-like voice with a touch of old school gospel influences. He’s definitely redefining pop music and his talents continue to shine.
Sam Smith’s 2015 Grammy Highlights
Earlier in the night, Sam won the Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album, before stealing the Song of the Year win as well! Later, he went four-for-four and also won Record of the Year.
He also took the stage to sing the Song of the Year “Stay With Me” in collaboration with Mary J. Blige. The duo lit up the stage in a soulful rendition of the song, showcasing both of their amazing voices. We totally think these two should collaborate together more!
