Bow down. Madonna took to the stage to perform at the Grammys on Feb. 8 and it was, in short, amazing. To rephrase: it is the year 2015, and Madonna slayed the Grammys stage and looked amazing while doing it.
That’s what you call staying power! During The Grammys on Feb. 8, Madonna, also known as the original Queen of Pop, blessed us peasants with a performance of her song “Living for Love” and, yeah, she killed. With an appropriately gushing introduction by Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj, Madge certainly taught those kids a lesson! And, spoiler alert, bulls were involved!
Madonna’s Grammy Performance: ‘Living For Love’
Madonna, 56, performed a new song “Living for Love,” at this year’s Grammys and she more than kept up with the fellow divas who also took the stage that evening, many of whom were half her age.
Accompanied by roughly 20 male dancers, all of whom were dressed as bulls (yes, the animal), Madonna was their obligatory matador. Rocking a revealing red jumper adorned with black lace, the icon was literally lifted up at the end of her performance, ascending to the pop music Gods, we can assume. Bravo, M!
Madonna’s Lasting Legacy
With a new pop star popping up what seems like every five minutes, it’s comforting to know that Madonna can still take to a stage and totally crush it. Sure, you’ve got your Arianas and your Taylors and your Katys, but let’s be real: none of them would be able to do what they do without the legacy of Madonna.
Not to mention, Madonna’s still got it in a major way. Posing topless, pumping out new music and even planning a collaboration with Ariana Grande herself, it’s safe to say the once and former diva can keep up with the best of ’em.
What did you think of Madonna’s performance? Do you think she’s still as good as ever?
