Taylor Swift will just have to ‘get over it’ if she was freaked by close friend, Ed Sheeran performing with her ex, John Mayer. Ed doesn’t care, an insider has told HollywoodLife.com.
Ed Sheeran,23, and John Mayer, 37, put on a great performance at The Grammys, but there was one person in the audience who couldn’t wait for it to end — Taylor Swift, 25. A source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Ed thinks John is a “musical genius” and Taylor needs to “get over it.” Ouch!
Ed Sheeran ‘Loved Every Minute’ Of Performing
Ed was all smiles during his performance with John at The 57th Grammys at the Staples Center in LA. But there was one little lady who was itching for the duet to end — John’s ex, Taylor!
“Ed wanted to put on a performance with John because Ed thinks John is a musical genius and loved every minute of it,” an inside source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
The source went on to say, “He didn’t have any one else’s feelings in his mind setting this up, he just wanted to rock the Grammys stage, if Taylor hated it she will just have to get over it.”
Well, we have to say, Ed did just that! He put on a great show with John, regardless of the tension.
The question is, how did Taylor react when she saw her best friend sing his heart out alongside her ex?
“She definitely was aware of potential cameras and didn’t break from being “happy” but it was definitely awkward, you could tell she wanted it to end,” the inside source told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Awkward is one way to put it.
John already knew he wanted to keep a safe distance from Taylor. He dissed her on ‘The Late Late Show’ saying, “You can see me at the Grammys doing what I do best, being avoided by Taylor Swift.”
John Is Team Katy Perry
What makes this situation even more awkward for Taylor, is the fact that her frenemie, Katy Perry, is reportedly back with John.
Oh the drama!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers, was Taylor Swift happy to see her best friend perform or was she mad? Let us know.
