Don’t kill me, but I’m actually starting to like the idea of Samchel. On the Feb. 6 episode of ‘Glee,’ Rachel and Sam looked super adorable as they said they loved each other, before agreeing to a date at Breadstix. Also, Rachel went on a Broadway audition and Brittana started planning their wedding.
The Feb. 6 episode of Glee was all about Rachel (Lea Michele) getting her groove back — both in love and her career. Thanks to a few nudges from Mercedes (Amber Riley), Rachel found the mojo she was missing and used it to take charge of her life.
‘Glee’: Rachel & Sam Flirt & She Returns To NYC — Season 6 Episode 6 Recap
Finn (Cory Monteith) is sorely missed, so it’s totally understandable why Rachel is so reluctant to move on from a love that was supposed to be “endgame.” But Mercedes, who wants to see her friend happy again, insisted that she jump back on the saddle. In fact, Mercedes, who’s now dating a Christian rock singer named Tank, gave Rachel and Sam (Chord Overstreet) her blessing to pursue a relationship.
Sam and Mercedes even had a heart-to-heart chat and they got the closure we’ve been hoping for. Mercedes told Sam she wanted him to help Rachel heal her heart. (It was pretty sweet.)
It seems to be working, too, because at one point, Rachel and Sam said they loved each other.
Aside from Rachel’s love life, Mercedes also dropped by McKinley High in order to give Rachel the nudge she needed to continue pursuing her Broadway dreams. Ever since her TV show failed miserably, Rachel’s been hiding out in Lima, and Mercedes took notice.
After Mercedes gave Rachel a bit of tough love, she headed to NY for a Broadway audition. We didn’t find out whether she got the part, but it was enough to give Rachel the boost of confidence she needed. And Sam was super excited to hear all about her audition. (Aw!) They even agreed to go on a date to Breadstix.
Meanwhile, Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) were busy planning their wedding this week.
Brittany found out her real dad is Stephen Hawking before she went on a mission to persuade Santana’s abuela to attend their wedding. Apparently, Santana’s abuela isn’t a fan of homosexuality. In fact, she frowns upon it.
While Brittany failed at her mission, her determination further proved how much she truly loves Santana.
