‘Arrow’ fans, listen up! The CW has just revealed details about the highly anticipated Atom on its superhero series, and they even released a first pic for our viewing pleasure!
The Atom cleans up real nice. In a first official photo released by The CW, we see that the suit will be donned by relative Arrow newcomer, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) and, we’ve got to say, it fits him like a glove. So, when can we expect to see The Atom come to life? We’ve got the details for you!
‘Arrow’: Brandon Routh Is The Atom
There had been rumblings of The Arrow introducing The Atom to its series, and now, we’ve got confirmation! Along with the official photo (which, we know: amazing. You can rejoin us whenever you’ve recovered from staring at it), we also have details about when Atom will first appear.
Ray will initially debut his Atom costume on the Feb. 25 episode, titled “Nanda Parbat.” Okay then!
‘A Super Suit Does Not A Hero Make’
Though a new character in Arrow‘s third season, Ray has made quite an impact as the mega-rich, technological genius who lives his life with a secret desire for heroism following the murder of his wife.
While we don’t know many details about the exact circumstances which will bring Ray together with The Atom, the character will certainly be unique.
“Ray’s the first technology-based hero that we’ve done,” Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim told our sister site Variety. “Ray is creating what we call the Super Suit, the Atom suit that is really at the cutting edge of technology, both in the real world and on the show. He’s also going to have to discover that a super suit does not a hero make. It’s being the hero that’s the really difficult part and one does not mean you’ve accomplished the other.”
How do you think Brandon will do playing The Atom?
