Super Bowl XLIX went from sportsmanlike competition to an all out brawl! Tensions ran high with just 18 seconds left in the game, and the Seahawks and the Patriots ended up in an all out brawl. Watch the intense video below!
The last minute of the Super Bowl 2015 was one of the craziest we’ve seen in years! As the New England Patriots were moments away from a 28-24 victory, the Seattle Seahawks put an ugly finish on a classic game by throwing several punches and fans on Twitter totally .
Super Bowl Fight 2015 — Seattle Seahawk’s Bruce Irvin Ejected After Brawl
It’s not an unusual occurrence for a fight to break out during intense moments of NFL football, but this was a full fledged throw down!
The Seahawks were feeling a little sensitive after Russell Wilson threw an interception that cost them the game, and emotions were clearly running high because before the next play could even begin, they were throwing punches!
It’s not exactly clear how the scramble started, but the refs had a pretty tough time breaking up the battle. Ryan Wendell and Michael Bennet got into a pretty heated situation, and Rob Gronkowski and Bruce Irvin looked like they were fighting for their lives!
Irvin wasn’t the only one involved, but he alone was ejected from the game for his unsportsmanlike behavior, and he doesn’t seem to be too apologetic about it.
He told Yahoo Sports, “I was protecting a teammate…Emotions flew. I saw somebody hit Michael Bennett, so I went and backed up my brother. I went about it wrong. Emotions were flying high, and I apologize. But if it happened again, I would go protect my teammate.”
