Get ready for the Joker to hit ‘Gotham’ sooner rather than later! Batman’s nemesis will reportedly ‘scratch the surface’ in the series by the end of season one. We already feel the tensions rising!
Of course Gotham fans have been dying to know when Batman’s ultimate rival, the Joker would grace Gotham City. Executive producer Bruno Heller gave a juicy hint that the Joker’s storyline will make way into FOX’s hit series before the season one finale. We can’t wait!
‘Gotham:’ Joker Storyline Will Be Introduced In Season One
Gotham is still making its way through the second half of its freshman season, and there’s tons to look forward to — and now even more!
“We’ve said you’re going to be waiting a bit longer for it, but this is America — nobody wants to wait,” Bruno teased of the Joker’s storyline to TVGuide.com. “So, we will scratch the surface of that story, yes. But just scratch it — a little tap on the door.”
While we will probably not see The Joker in the flesh, it sounds like it’s a great transition into season two! Bruno originally intended to wait to introduce the most famous nemesis of Batman, but we’re glad to get a little teaser for what’s to come in the already confirmed season two.
While we feast on that great news, there’s also a ton of great things to look forward to in the second half of the season. We’re beginning to see the development of Edward Nygma (Michael Smith) turning into the villainous Riddler as his relationship with file clerk Kristen Kringle (Chelsea Spack) crumbles, as well as Penguin (Robin Taylor), a born sociopath, embracing evil tendencies.
The Joker storyline is just the icing on top of the cake in an incredibly gripping season. We’re so excited to watch the action play out!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you excited The Joker will be introduced in season one, or do you wish that storyline would be held for later? Let us know your thoughts below!
