Ricardo Medina Jr., one of the stars of ‘Power Rangers Samurai’ was arrested on Jan. 31 for allegedly stabbing and murdering his roommate with a sword, according to a new report.
Ricardo Medina Jr. was arrested in Palmdale, Calif. on Jan. 31 after allegedly murdering his roommate, Joshua Sutter by stabbing him in the abdomen after a heated fight. The former Power Ranger, 37, was taken into custody by the LA County Sherriff’s Department after the murder.
Ricardo Medina Jr. Arrested For Murdering Roommate With Sword
Ricardo and Joshua, 36, were reportedly in an argument before the stabbing, around 4:00 P.M., according to a report by TMZ. After things escalated Ricardo allegedly attempted to retreat into his room with his girlfriend. Things got out of hand when Joshua broke into Ricardo’s room, unannounced. Ricardo lashed out out at Joshua by stabbing him once in the abdomen with a sword kept next to the bedroom door.
Ricardo reportedly called 911 himself, but when they cops arrived he was arrested for the murder of Joshua. Meanwhile, Joshua was taken to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Ricardo’s big break in Hollywood came in 2002, playing the Red Ranger on the TV series, Power Rangers Wild Force. The actor also went on to play Deker in the children’s television series Power Rangers Samurai, which he is best known for.
Ricardo’s bail is set at one million dollars.
