Hollywood hunks Chris Evans and Chris Pratt made a serious bet with each other on who would win Super Bowl XLIX on Feb. 1. We now know that the New England Patriots beat the Seattle Seahawks, which means Mr. Pratt is going to have to pay up!
That’s right, it was Star-Lord vs. Captain America in an epic battle of the brawn. And while neither Chris Evans, nor Chris Pratt, had to block, kick or throw they were heavily invested in the Super Bowl’s outcome after making a bet over Twitter. Now it’s time for the Guardians of the Galaxy star to settle up.
Chris Evans Wins Super Bowl Bet 2015 — Chris Pratt Donates To Charity
Fortunately, it was all for a good cause as the two actors raised awareness and money for their favorite children’s charities.
The loser had to show up in costume — Evans as Captain America, Pratt as Star-Lord — to the charity of the other’s choice. Since Evans is a huge Patriots fan, that means Pratt will be making a visit to Christopher’s Haven, a Boston-area pediatric cancer center. Evans was to visit the Seattle Children’s Hospital, which Seahawks fan Pratt had picked.
The 33 year-old Evans seemed confident in his team taking a shot at Pratt before the game posting a picture of Tom Brady eating a drumstick with the caption, “MMMM…TASTE LIKE SEACHICKEN!!”
Although Pratt, 35, was sad to see his team go down in defeat, he is more than happy to fulfill his end of the bargain bringing smiles to sick children.
“Congrats to the world champions
@patriots you were the better team tonight. I will be visiting @chris_haven as Starlord. #twitterbowl” he tweeted after the game. But don’t worry Chris Evans followed that up by tweeting that both actors would also visit Seattle Children’s Hospital!
How Did The Bet Begin?
It all started somewhat innocently when Boston native Evans took the first shot saying “Well, well, well @prattprattpratt, looks like our teams are going into battle. For the next 2 weeks, you are not my friend, you are my enemy,” on Twitter.
Pratt, took it up a notch responding, “@ChrisEvans We both know there’s only one Captain America and his name is Russell Wilson. #SuperBowlBound #LOB #Repeat.”
It escalated from there till the bet was made. Although the children at these actors charities weren’t playing football tonight, they were definitely the big winners. Now that is something Seahawks and Patriots fans can celebrate!
HollywoodLifers, are you happy Chris Evans won the bet?
