Val Kilmer Hospitalized For Throat Tumor: 911 Called After Actor Started Bleeding
The actor is currently recovering in the hospital, according to TMZ, but his family is reportedly upset that he didn’t seek treatment sooner.
Apparently, Val knew he had an issue, but let his condition get worse, without seeking medical attention, a source told the site.
In October, Val was in small claims court and told the judge he was unable to speak because his tongue was swollen.
The actor was last pictured at a Lakers game with his son, Jack, on Jan. 16, 2015. He had his neck covered with some sort of scarf. See the picture here. And in December, while at a Clippers game, he had a grey scarf tied around his neck. See that photo here.
Was he trying to hide his condition? We’re not sure. But we certainly hope he recovers quickly, following his surgery.
In addition to Jack, Val has a daughter named Mercedes, 23. He was married to Joanne Whalley from 1988 to 1996.
Our thoughts go out to Val Kilmer during this difficult time. We wish him a quick and full recovery.
