Boston is rallying around their man Tom Brady! Chris Evans, Ben Affleck and more celebs are taking full responsibility for the Deflategate scandal. Click to WATCH the hilarious video!
The culprit behind Deflategate has been caught — sort of. A number of celebs, including Matt Damon, 44, Chris Evans, 33, and John Krasinski, 35, came forward with funny excuses about why they underinflated the New England Patriots’ footballs in the AFC championship game. These “locker room guys” appeared on the Jan. 29 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and bravely defended their team.
Deflategate: Chris Evans, Ben Affleck Defend Tom Brady On ‘Jimmy Kimmel’
This is just too good.
John — who said he was one of Tom’s kids tutors — confessed that he had to deflate the footballs because the Goodyear blimp was going to crash into Gillette Stadium. He pressed that Tom had nothing to do with it.
“If he did, he would have done the exact same thing because he’s a god—n hero.”
Meanwhile, Chris needed to release a genie from the footballs. Good one, Chris! He said the only way Tom could have deflated the balls was with his “piercing baby blue eyes.” Anyone noticing the epic mustache Chris is sporting? Matt as Tubby Herlihy said his nephew had bronchitis and needed air. A very valid excuse.
Ben Affleck, identifying himself as Ryan “Salty” Flanagan, took full responsibility and praised his “Touchdown Tommy.”
Their thick Boston accents were nothing short of fantastic.
Steven Tyler, Eli Roth, and Bill Simmons also admitted to being the “locker room guy.”
The New England Patriots have been under massive scrutiny for the scandal, and some even want the team disqualified. However, HollywoodLife.com has some inside scoop on the situation.
“The NFL has no findings against the Patriots of wrongdoing because the refs never properly examined the balls correctly in the first place,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
