‘Jupiter Ascending’ Trailer: Mila Kunis & Channing Tatum Make Out

“Why do they call it falling in love anyway,” a friend of Mila’s asks her in the trailer for Jupiter Ascending, before she presumably finds out a very literal answer to that question.

In the new sci-fi action flick, due to hit theaters Feb. 6, Mila plays Jupiter Jones (get it?), who was born outside one evening, with the stars predicting she was destined for greatness. So far, though, that fulfillment has stalled somewhat, after a series of misfortune has lead her to cleaning others’ homes. However, her moment for prophecy fulfillment finally arrives when Caine (Channing) tracks her down, and her extraordinary potential can finally be explored.

“It can be difficult for people from underdeveloped worlds to hear that their planet is not the only inhabited planet in the verse,” Caine, who is a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, tells Jupiter.

“Are you saying you’re an alien?” she asks back, terrified.

Eddie Redmayne In ‘Jupiter Ascending’

The remainder of the trailer features a whole lot of explosions and a whole lot of death threats, making for a very intense three minutes!

Along with Mila and Channing, the film also stars Eddie Redmayne, perfectly cast as a creepy baddy from one planet or another, as well as Sean Bean and Douglas Booth.
