The British are coming– to the 2015 Super Bowl! It has just been announced that the cast of E!’s ‘The Royals’ will star in a 30-second Super Bowl ad during the game on Feb. 1. Watch a teaser for the commercial now!

This is big news for E!’s first scripted series The Royals. Ahead of the series’ March premiere on the cable network– and following a bold second season renewal– E! has sprung for a commercial spot during the most coveted advertising platform of the year to promote the new show. Bigger yet, it is E!’s first ever super bowl slot, demonstrating just how much faith they have in the experimental new series.

‘The Royals’ To Star In Super Bowl Commercial

For the first time, E! is about to break out of its reality content parameters and premiere its first scripted drama on Mar. 25.

The Vowel net just officially announced that, in order to draw an audience and get them psyched for the new series, the entire cast of The Royals will appear in a 30-second “mini movie” during the 2015 Super Bowl. To prepare viewers for the commercial (or, to advertise their advertisement), a 10-second teaser has been released, featuring Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park), aka the family wild child.

The cast also features Joan Collins, William Mosely, Merritt Patterson, Tom Austen and, perhaps most excitingly, Elizabeth Hurley.

‘The Royals’ Are Coming To E!

The Royals has been a long time in the making, with a first extended trailer having been released in August, and we’ve got to say, the series might just become our new guilty pleasure. E! certainly has some faith that viewers will show up, as they have renewed it for a second season, prior to the premiere of the first.

“Love, hate, lust and revenge are taken to a delightfully decadent new level in this 60-minute drama series that goes inside a world where power is everything, limits do not exist, and trust is a luxury that no one can afford,” E! describes of the upcoming series.
