When you’re forced to cover yourself in paint and rub it all over your ex, things are going to get uncomfortable. Especially when one of you still have feelings. Welcome to ‘Battle of the Exes 2.’
Every MTV Challenge is all about communication. However, on Battle of the Exes 2, there are some teams that just can’t compete — like Zach and Jonna, who broke up on bad terms and Jemmye and Knight, who basically can’t be in the same room with each other. So, what happened when one of these couples took the lead and the others fell to last?
‘The Challenge’ — Let’s Play Ex Swap
For this week’s challenge, the girls had to roll around in paint, then transfer it to their exes/partners bodies. The men then had to jump on to canvas — whoever covered the most canvas sqaures with paint, wins. Basically, something you don’t want to be doing with your ex.
Jordan and Sarah of course did well, but what was shocking that the other top pair was Zach and Jonna — and they actually won! Meanwhile, Jemmye and Knight landed in the bottom, which didn’t come as much of a surprise. So, Jonna and Zach sat down and enjoyed a pizza and finally cleared the air. You know, after sitting with Jenna and Jay and awkwardly talking about how they enjoy hooking up with them. Yes, the four of them swap.
So, new BFFs Zach and Jonna decided to choose Brittany and Adam to go in, again — even though Jonna had no idea why they were throwing them in. Oh and they’re no longer friends because Zach since he decided to trash her the second she left the room.
Exes, Exes, Everywhere
The Challenge never exists without emotions and drama, and this week was Nany‘s turn. Her feelings for Johnny Bananas resurfaced and she had to deal with them or there was going to be no way for this to continue. So, how did she deal? Well, she told him he was the worst. Later on in the night, she told him she’d never understand — and she said it through tears. It was actually extremely sad, but Johnny was pretty confused.
However, I totally have respect for her since he does have a girlfriend at home and she seems to appreciate and respect that. Plus, at least she got to relax — Adam and Brittany had to go into the Dome again for a very tough tug of war. And once again, they won — three in a row.
That’s right, Jemmye and Knight were sent home, probably because they couldn’t even stand in the same room together let alone have any communication and compete together. Of course, this season was dedicated to Knight, along with Diem Brown, so it was very sad to see him go.
But we had to say goodbye to Ryan Knight, “the man, the myth the legend.” Following the episode, MTV had a special tribute to Knight, and you can see the recap here.
Are you bummed that Jemmye & Knight went home?
