Marshawn Lynch is finally talking! The Seattle Seahawks running back who is notorious for being fined by the NFL for skipping media events is appearing in two hilarious ads for this years Super Bowl — Click to watch his funny press conference!
It’s no secret that Marshawn Lynch, 28, is not a fan of talking to the media, but that is about to change! The running back who is known for his “beast mode” is the star of not one, but two commercials airing during this years Super Bowl on Feb. 1. One for Progressive insurance which also stars ESPN’s Kenny Mayne and the second for Skittles, where he hilariously answers questions about kittens and blimps!
Marshawn Lynch’s Super Bowl Commercial 2015 — Finally Talks To Press
I think this is the most that Marshawn has ever spoken during one sitting with cameras rolling! The quiet insanely talented running back poked fun at his dislike of press conferences by staring in an ad for Skittles — which he has loved since childhood and is frequently showered in the candy by fans when he scored a touchdown.
In the funny ad, Marshawn sits down for a seemingly one-on-one press conference where he answers hilarious questions such as, “If you could transport yourself to the field in any way, would it be jetpack or blimp?”
He’s then jokingly asked if everyone should get Skittles when they do something awesome at their job. He takes a moment before answering and then says that some reporters at this press conferences should get some skittles, for asking good questions. He then throws skittles in the air and says that he would do something like that for the reporters.
Unfortunately, the media love was short lives, according to ABC 7. During Super Bowl Media Day the Seahawks player stood at his podium for a total of five minutes and said over and over again, “I’m here so I don’t get fined” before leaving.
Marshawn Lynch — Progressive Commercial
In Marshawn’s second commercial he appears for Progressive alongside of Kenny who is supposed to be interviewing Marshawn, but is having a hard time getting him to answer his questions. He tries word associations like saying “puppy” and “condensed milk,” but the player only answers saying, “Yeah.”
That all changes when he asks about car insurance. Marshawn says, “That’s an interesting and nuanced question, Kenny” and begins to tell him all about the benefits to switching to Progressive before being cheeky about the brands spokesperson, Flo (Stephanie Courtney) saying, “I’m all about that Flo, boss.”
