Yikes. Don’t upset Marshawn Lynch, or the Seattle Seahawks’ running back will put you on blast just like he did the NFL when they threatened to fine him. Click inside to WATCH!
Marshawn Lynch, 28, may have fulfilled his Super Bowl media duties on Tuesday, Jan. 27, in Phoenix, Arizona, but it wasn’t by choice. While attending a solo press conference inside the stadium where the big game will take place on Feb. 1, Marshawn used one answer — repeatedly — to answer the eager questions of journalists.
Marshawn Lynch Repeats Answer At Super Bowl Media Day
Okay, this is actually kind of hilarious.
As Marshawn sat down in front of a gaggle of press inside the University of Phoenix stadium, his first words were: “I’m only here so I don’t get fined.”
Then, he told the press that they could ask as many questions as they like, but he will only be responding with one answer: I’m here so I don’t get fined.”
So, the questions began — and so did the answers. Or, should we say, answer.
By the 1:30 mark in the video, Marshawn has already said his answer at least 10 times. He knows how to keep a promise!
Marshawn Faced $500k Fine From NFL
As it turns out, the fine Marshawn was talking about was actually a threat made to him by the NFL.
A source close to the league revealed to ESPN that they threatened Marshawn, telling him that if he did not make himself available for the Super Bowl media day he would face a $500,000 fine.
So, Marshawn showed up — and after 4 minutes and 51 seconds of repeating the same answer over and over again, he called “time” and stepped off the podium. Yikes!
