The fight for the empire continues! In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode of ‘Empire,’ Cookie makes an announcement that further proves she is in it to win it and she won’t let anyone get in the way. Watch it now!
Well speaking of status! On the Jan. 28 episode of Empire, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) is making sure that hers remains superior within Empire Records, and in order to do so, she announces that she will be taking on another client to manage. As you could imagine, the announcement definitely makes a splash– and drives one person to fury!
‘Empire’: Cookie’s Announcement Shocks Anika
Cookie is taking on another client!
In addition to Jamal (Jussie Smollett), Cookie will henceforth be managing Empire Records’ fiercest young diva, Tiana (Serayah).
“From now on I handle and approve all things Tiana,” Cookie says. “Performances, appearances, recordings– everything down to her nail gel color.”
One person who isn’t totally on board with the plan? Anika (Grace Gealey), who, despite what Cookie believes (or what she wants to believe, anyway), is actually in charge of the company’s A&R.
Upon Cookie’s announcement, Anika somewhat discredits the new management union, saying, “we’ll discuss this later.” Cookie, however, shuts down her hesitancy real quick, letting her know this is happening whether she likes it or not.
“There’s nothing to discuss, sweetheart,” Cookie says with her signature condescension and control.
Lyon Family Drama
As we know, the familial rivalries on Empire have heated up very quickly. With Lucious (Terrence Howard) repping Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) and Cookie repping Jamal, it’s mother vs. father, son vs. son and Lyon vs. Lyon.
Also, let’s not forget about bystander son Andre (Trai Byers), who is happy to watch his family take each other down one by one leaving the throne as his to inherit.
What do you guys think of Empire so far? Which son are you pulling for to snatch the throne?
