She’s still Jenny from the block! On the Jan. 28 episode of ‘American Idol,’ things got so heated in the audition room that Jennifer Lopez was actually driven to slap a contestant right across the face!
That’s gotta hurt! On the season’s final audition episode of American Idol, one contestant asks the judges to partake in a little telenovela role playing bit with him. It start off innocently enough, but one thing leads to another and before you know it– Jennifer Lopez has gone put palm to face with the contestant! Watch the painful sneak peek now!
‘American Idol’: Jennifer Lopez Slaps A Contestant
Even during the worst auditions in American Idol‘s 14 year history, I don’t believe a contestant has ever caused a judge to slap them in the face, but that’s exactly what goes down on the upcoming episode when auditions roll through San Francisco.
Okay, we should clarify that the slap was somewhat instigated by the contestant himself.
Samuel Prince is from Puerto Rico where, as he says, JLo is “queen.” To honor the queen, Samuel asks JLo if she– as well as Harry Connick Jr. (who Samuel mistakenly calls “Henry”) and Keith Urban— will join him in something. “This is a soap opera scene,” Samuel says.
Samuel begins to dramatically yell at JLo in Spanish, saying things like, “how could you?” and “don’t look at me.” Finally, when he looks at her and says, “this is a disgrace,” something in Jennifer snaps and she steps up to Samuel and clocks him square in the face!
The sound that is made as her open palm hits his cheek echoes through the room. He falls to the ground.
JLo Is On A Roll
When she wasn’t slapping contestants or otherwise judging American Idol, JLo has been everywhere the last few weeks. Promoting both the return of the show, as well as her new film The Boy Next Door, we’ve seen a whole lot of the diva and we haven’t minded one bit!
What do you guys think of the slap? Are you excited for the new episode of American Idol?
