We could stare at the lovely Lupita Nyong’o forever! Leave it to her to leave us breathless with her beautiful bold red lip, braids and romantic bun at the 2015 SAG Awards. So how does the actress just always get it right? Let’s take a look!
Lupita Nyong’o, 31, may just be a presenter at the SAG Awards on Jan. 25, but she is always receiving accolades for her beauty statements. And, trust us, her braided bun and rouge lip made us lust over her approach to beauty over and over again!
Lupita Nyong’o’s 2015 Screen Actors Guild Hair & Makeup – Red Lip
Lupita, winner of last year’s SAG Award for Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role, seems to always kill it at the SAG Awards and this year, her chic yet edgy look was no exception.
Lupita usually opts for either bold hair or makeup, but at the 2015 SAG Awards, she went for both and made such a sophisticated statement. Case in point: her stunning bold lip, courtesy of makeup artist Nick Barose, didn’t compete with her braid — they just worked together!
We would also be remiss if we didn’t mention Lupita’s luminious skin and elongated eyebrows!
To achieve a flawless foundation to set begin her beauty look, Nick used Armani Fluid Sheer in 10.
How To Achieve Lupita Nyong’o’s Bold Red Lip
If you want luscious red lips a la Lupita then we suggest wearing Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge – 120 Sienna Ultime.
If this lip color looks familiar than it should! Lupita is the muse and face for Lancôme’s beauty campaign and more specifically L’Absolu Rouge.
Whether it’s in her glamorous campaign or on the red carpet, Lupita’s bold red lips make her pearly whites stand out even more.
To top off her entire evening look on Jan. 25, Lupita Nyong’o donned Deborah Lippmann nail polish by sporting a modern take on the french manicure.
Lupita’s graphic manicure was achieved by applying Deborah Lippmann’s true nude base and red tip, which was inspired by the iconic singer, Nina Simone. We truly love how her whole look came together.
