So sweet. While accepting the award for Outstanding Actor in a Lead Role for ‘The Theory of Everything,’ Eddie Redmayne touched hearts by honoring people with ALS all over the world.
Eddie Redmayne, 33, has had a very exciting year — and it’s all thanks to his role as Stephen Hawking in the critically acclaimed film, The Theory of Everything. As he accepted his SAG Award, the British actor dedicated the trophy to ALS sufferers and victims, as well as their families, in a beautiful speech.
Eddie Redmayne Wins Outstanding Male Actor In A Film — Lead
Wow. Not only did Eddie charm with his talent, but his gracious speech truly stole the show at the 2015 SAG Awards.
“This has been such an extraordinary year for performances,” Eddie told the audience, stunned and filled with excitement over winning the Outstanding Actor in a Lead Role — Motion Picture.
However, the most touching moment came when he dedicated his award to “those people around the world living with ALS” and “those who have lost their lives to this brutal disease.”
At the end of Eddie’s speech, he revealed that The Theory of Everything reminded him of “the overwhelming power of the will to love.”
So sweet. Congrats, Eddie!

One thing is for sure, the 2015 awards season is chock full of incredible performances. Nailing down just one to award must be a tough job!
