Well, this could be interesting! Romance has been both growing and fleeting for just about everyone on ‘Glee’– with a very notable exception. Could a new romance for Rachel be on the horizon?
Life hasn’t been too peachy for Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) the last few months. Not only did her television series miserably fail, but her dads are now getting divorced and selling their home. It sounds like the once-slushee prone lady could use a little pick me up– perhaps a new romance? An upcoming song for the Jan. 23 episode makes it appear as though that might be a possibility!
‘Glee’: A Rachel And Sam Romance In The Works?
Following the Jan. 16 episode of Glee, which saw Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany (Heather Morris) get engaged while Kurt (Chris Colfer) was still coming to terms with the absence of Blaine (Darren Criss) in his life, it seemed that all of our favorite Glee characters are finding themselves in a bit of a transitional period.
That’s not more true for anyone than it is for Rachel. Back in Lima and now leading McKinley’s glee club, her life may be getting back on track a bit, and it seems like she might even be ready for a new love interest.
On the upcoming episode, Rachel and Sam (Chord Overstreet) are duetting together, and it’s raising some red flags. The two are set to sing the Vanessa Carlton classic, “A Thousand Miles,” aka one of the most emphatic love songs of all time.
We have to wonder, why would two people who are just friends sing such a pleading love song with one another?
Yup, our thoughts exactly.
‘Glee’ Is Gonna ‘Whip It’
Romance aside, the rest of the episode, called “The Hurt Locker, Part One,” also looks to be jam-packed, as Rachel will attempt to strike a deal with Will (Matthew Morrison) to make his glee club intentionally fall short at the invitational.
Additionally, the episode will feature the song “B–ch” by Meredith Brooks, “Rock Lobster” by B-52’s and “Whip It” by Devo.
Are you guys ready for a new Glee?
