At the U.S. Capitol, President Obama will stand before a large group of Republican lawmakers “who believe his package of tax hikes, spending programs, and new regulations will damage the economy,” the news site claims.
And because of this, Obama will likely focus on ways the economy has recovered, as well as signs of improvement, from the Great Recession in 2008.
“America’s resurgence is real,” Obama said in his radio address on Jan. 17. “Our job now is to make sure that every American feels that they’re a part of our country’s comeback. That’s what I’ll focus on in my State of the Union.”
President Obama’s State of the Union speech will air on all major networks tonight, but there’s no need to turn on the TV. We’ll have a live stream video of the entire speech right here — just hit the play button on the video above! Make sure you bookmark this page and come back at 9 p.m. ET!
