It’s a new year and the perfect time for a new me, which means MAKEOVER TIME! See how I fixed my damaged hair and ended up with a celeb-worthy style below at the Pierre Michel Salon.
2014 was a fun year of hair experimentation for me — I decided it was time to join in on the hair color bandwagon and dyed my hair navy. As much as I loved it, I knew this was not a look that would last forever. After a color-stripping incident, I knew just where to go to fix my green hair!
How To Fix Green Hair — Getting A Hair Makeover At Pierre Michel
Unfortunately, getting the navy color out was not as easy as getting it in, and that had me running to Pierre Michel Salon for my 2015 hair makeover.
By the time I got to the salon, my hair was booger green after a hair stripping process gone awry.
I would have been worried if not for my utmost faith in hair magicians, colorist Joanna Pinto and stylist Jerome Lordet, at Pierre Michel.
No More Green Hair
Joanna first started off by softening my roots, and flashing my dark roots to a soft, medium brown.
I then went off to Jerome, who cut my hair to a blunt, shoulder length cut. Then it was back to Joanna, who still had some green to tackle.
To do this, she did three things — highlight, lowlight and tone.
She highlighted with a light golden brown to lift the color out, then added a lowlight of dark golden blonde to create dimension, and finally, used a warm toner to infuse both together and give me my final product.
I am happy to say I am no longer a green-haired monster, but am even more than happy with my gorgeous new ‘do!
