Selena Gomez, 22, has a cute new co-star in her movie The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving. Craig Roberts, 23, will be playing Trevor in the highly-anticipated new film, and it looks like Selena and Craig are already best friends! Here’s 5 things to know about Craig and his new character!
1. He’s going to be crushing on Selena in the movie.
Craig plays Trevor, a 19-year-old with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, according to MoviePilot.com. He goes on a road trip with his caregiver Ben (Paul Rudd) and Selena’s character catches a ride with the pair. She’s sassy, carefree and her lack of judgment about Trevor’s condition leads him to develop a huge crush on her.
2. He’s one of the most promising young actors.
His coming-of-age role in 2010’s Submarine made him one of the biggest up-and-comers in Hollywood. He was nominated for an Empire Award and British Independent Film Award. He won Best Younger Actor at the BAFTA Cymru Awards and Young British Performer of the Year at the London Critics Circle Film Awards.
3. He’s British.
Yep, he’s got a swoonworthy accent! The actor was born in Wales.
4. You’ve seen him before.
When you look at Craig, he looks super familiar. That’s because he’s been featured in some of the biggest movies over the years. He co-starred alongside Zac Efron as Assjuice in Neighbors and Channing Tatum in 22 Jump Street.
5. He starred in The Killers’ music video ‘Here With Me’
The band released the music video for their hit song in 2012. Craig co-starred with Winona Ryder and the video was directed by Tim Burton.
